Hey, this isn’t a book in this area farts! This is a book in this area family and friends and stick-with-it-ness. Farts are just the ordinary used to pull it all together.

This is a quick-paced, well-written book that should keep its target audience’s attention all the way owing to. It is enjoyable, comical and doesn’t waste interval with unneeded words that would slow the action down.

I liked it. I would give it to my kids (and, in fact, I did).

    An enjoyable, quick read.

I read this book to my 8 year ancient son, whom likes this type of humor. I do liken the themes of this book to be similar to Diary of a Wimply Kid. This is the second book in this series thus far. Even as I found this book to be not of the type of literature that I ever envisioned my son to read or like, I have to be trustworthy and let him read what makes him like reading. The humor is both appropirate and amusing. Him and I got a splendid laugh together. I live with three boys (my husband included) so the subject manner (not the main focus of the book…more of a focus in book one) is something my boys are always joking around in this area. This simple to read, appropirate subject manner is a splendid summer read for boys (primarily) as long as you want your reader to laugh silly!! I do recommend it.

Okay…so I am NOT a 10 year ancient reading this book but I have an 11 year ancient that I really don’t want to read this book. The premise is amusing (to a kid): boy makes a pill you can take to make your farts smell excellent. Okay….I can see the giggles this would stir up in a classroom and agree that it is amusing (to an extent). Problem is, in the book, the main characters “friends” and family reckon it’s okay to make fun of him by calling him names (like FARTS). If this was okay with the kid, I would have no problem BUT the author makes it apparent that he despises it. Ever the teachers at school and the principal call him nicknames he doesn’t like and place a lot of pressure on him. I know these things happen in life but the author makes it seem like this is socially acceptable (which it isn’t).

If you have a outcome who has ever been picked on or name called or has had a lot of pressure place on them by teachers…this may not be the best book for them. It makes it seem like you should just “get over it” instead of saying that the people who do those things are in the incorrect. Just my take.
